How To Use This Site

USA-365.com is like an electronic newspaper specializing in high school sports, with additional news and events primarily covering southern Lake County of Northwest Indiana.  We're also an Internet radio station providing live, play-by-play coverage of Crown Point High School football, boys and girls basketball and baseball. We're also the sports production company for providing live coverage of Indiana University football and men's basketball on WWLO-89.1 FM, Lowell, IN. On October 5, 2005 we launched our own occasional use audio stream from www.USA-365.com. (In the past, we had shared the Internet audio stream of our sister service, "The Breeze," which has its own web site at www.TheBreez.com.)

But you may find some challenges in getting all parts of this site to work for you. This page is here to help.

We've put together some tips and hints that will help you get the most out of USA-365.com. If you have a question about this site, that isn't answered here, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at the link below and we'll add it to the list. We guarantee that if you're wondering about it, dozens of others are wondering, too!

How do I hear the USA-365.com Sports play-by-play?

Option 1:

Click on this link, or on the "listen" icon   at the top-right of our 'home' Webpage. If you have WinAmp or another mp3 audio player already installed as a plug-in for your browser, the player should open and you should begin hearing the our USA-365 play-by-play broadcasts.  We may ocassionally stream rebroadcasts of selected games on our USA-365 sports stream.  But if you hear nothing after clicking the link, it is because we are currently not streaming during non-sports-hours.  During non-sports hours you can tune in to our sister site, the World’s Best Easy Listening Music of The Breeze. We use the same technology for audio streaming on that site, so you could use that stream for testing your WinAmp player if you have recently downloaded that software. If you don’t have WinAmp, Windows Media Player or Real Audio installed, then please see Option 2, Option 3 or Option 4 below.

You can minimize the mp3 player window and then tour the rest of our Website while listening to play-by-play broadcast! We also try to update the home page scoreboard periodically during each game.

Option 2:

Listen to USA-365.com Sports on WinAmp. You can download the free player here: WinAmp Download. Once you've installed WinAmp, start up the WinAmp player, then come back to this page and click this link. The good news is, that after you do this once, you should be able to open WinAmp again and automatically find our USA-365 play-by-play broadcasts waiting for you!

Option 3:

Listen to USA-365.com Sports on RealPlayer. You can find the free player here: RealPlayer Download. Once you’ve installed RealPlayer, click on this link or the "listen" icon   and choose RealPlayer to hear the music!

Option 4:

Listen to USA-365.com Sports on Windows Media Player. You will find the free player here: Get Windows Media Player

Once you’ve installed Windows Media Player, click on this link or the "listen" icon and choose Windows Media Player to hear the music!

What are all these terms... stream, buffering?

Jargon, mostly. But when you're talking about Internet Radio stations, it does help to be familiar with some of the lingo. Live365.com has put together a page of definitions that may be useful: Glossary.
And another great resource for Web and Internet terms is the Webopedia.
